A Belizean Thriller   (July 2008)

Based on my six years in Belize, I have written a Thriller about Belize at the Turn of the Century.

It's February 2000.  Tommy Conklin is a Y2K project manager at a bank in Denver,  His project completed, he is wondering what to do next when he gets a call from Lynette, his sister-in-law (and former fiancée) in Belize.

"Your brother Phillip is lying in a coma in the hospital in Belize City.  If you want to see him alive, you better get down here."

Tommy gets to Belize, only to see his brother kidnapped by a couple of bad guys. .

The book is about tracking down his brother, about his former team members – who now call themselves "Tommy's Posse" – and come down and start a new bank in spite of local complications. It's about multiple shoot-outs with bad guys, and the love affair which Tommy has with a beautiful Belizean pastor. But it's also about the majestic tropical beauty of Belize, at once enthralling, mysterious, and full of promise.

If you'd like to read the first few chapters, look here.

I am looking for an agent.  If you can help me.  please write me.

Otherwise,. just wait for the book to show up on the Best Seller lists.  <grin>

It's called

Right Now, Gringo.

In Belize, "Right Now" means "not right now" -- Belize time --  sorta like mañana.  We explore that in detail in the book!

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!

Thanks
